A corner of the Temple platform in Jerusalem, where the immense stones placed by Herod the Great still testify to the scale and significance of the Second Temple in Jesus’ day.

These southern steps are some of the most historically certain “footsteps of Jesus”—the very approach to the Temple that Jesus and His disciples used during their visits to Jerusalem.

Remnants of homes discovered just outside the area believed by many archaeologists to be David’s palace—layers of daily life near the center of Israel’s early kingdom.

Remains of homes near what many identify as King David’s palace—some scholars suggest this area may have included the residence of Bathsheba.

The Pool of Siloam, one of the rare locations where we can directly connect an archaeological site with an event in Jesus’ ministry—the healing of the man born blind in John 9.
After a full day of exploring Jerusalem, we said Laila tov (good night) to day 8. It was amazing to walk where Jesus walked. From David’s palace, the steps of the temple, to the pool of Siloam, we were able to get a taste of the landscape and geography of the most important city in the Bible and all history.
Thank you for continuing to follow my trip to Israel. As I am nearing the end of this tour I would like to share with you in more detail about my ministry to God’s people Israel in the greater DC and Baltimore area. In this ministry highlight, I want to answer the following question:
The following books have helped me see the greatness of Jesus and His plan for Israel and the church.
Abiding in Christ: Studies in John 15—James Rosscup
Evangelicalism Divided—Ian Murray
The Greatness of the Kingdom—Alva J. McClain
The Hermeneutics of the Biblical Writers—Abner Chou
The Messiah in the Old Testament—Walter Kaiser Jr.
The Messiah: Revealed, Rejected, Received—William Varner
As a Field Representative, my income is dependent—by faith—on God’s provision as He leads His people to pray and financially give. To launch into full-time ministry, I need to raise my budget of $95,500, which includes my salary, benefits, and ministry expenses per year.
